MADRIG L: SINGS IN FULL SWI G! For the second time, a Madrigal Choir was created by Mrs. Kraft. This is a select group of people, who audition to sing with the group. Audition is necessary for there are only about ten spots available on the choir. The group performs as a seperate entity from the chorus. Singing is done mostly acapella and the songs performed are mostly older tunes. The choir had participated in various competitions and have done well. On january 30, the choir along with the jazz Ensemble performed in the closing ceremonies ofthe National Special Olympics. In May the Madrigal along with the regular Chorus traveled to Wildwood,N.l. for a special competition, where they met other performers from other schools. The Madrigal's two years have been successful, and Mrs. Kraft is looking forward to a great third.

CHORUS:A YE RI H RMO Y! This is the Chorus' second year of instruction under Mrs. Virginia Kraft, and her fantastic performing technique has been seen in every concert. The Chorus thrilled audiences with the traditional three yearly concerts. The Holiday Concert, Midwinter Concert, and the Spring Concert. The Holiday Concert was filled with the strains of holiday music and the favorite Disney song, Wish Upon A Star. The Midwinter Concert on February 26, included songs such as Lionel Richie's You Are, and An American Salute. The Chorus consisted of 35 members, not including the male volunteers who attended the performances with them. The Choir is looking forward to an incredible performing year in the Fall of 1986, and are hoping for a surge in membership with the incoming Freshmen. The choir officers are: President- lodi Bilker, Vice President- Diana Renk, Secretary- Carrie Haymond, Librarian- Laurie Moore. The Chorus celebrated their incredible year with a choral banquet. T78

180, Outdoor Ed An Excitin Education A popular Ciped option for this year's juniors was the ever so famous Outdoor Education. Under the direction of Mr. Costa, the students had the chance to ex- perience educational oppor- tunities of the outdoors. Historial and geological trips were made throughout the year to mix educa- tion and fun. Activitites such as skiing, horse back riding, and white water raf- ting in all kinds of weather, have given real life experiences of the outdoors to these students. They didn't mind the hard work because it was backed with feelings of ac- complishment and enjoyment.
