Foreword to the 1959 Browardier The administrative staff--allegorically called the Keepers of the Keys-holds the all important key to the future-education. This intrinsic key will unlock any chain that forbids in the future that lurks ahead. The chain of events of the school year span time with the bright colors of dances, fun and music. Much to the pride of the students the sports department has succeeded in producing a glowing chain of victories. However, the most outstanding members of the chain are the golden links, synony- mously the mighty seniors. Therein completes the chain of time for the year fifty-nine. T if 5 . Pfrp KATHY Bicos, cup-wan pf' ,f f' ww My Bulldogs enioy success in '58 season. After a' slow start against cross-county rivals at Pompano followed by a disappointing trip to Key West, the Broward Bulldogs got into high gear by defeating Miami Beach. They continued their winning ways against previ- ously undefeated Stranahan, there by keep- ing their chain of Gold Coast victories intact. The Bulldogs rallied to win over Curley, Cen- tral Catholic, and best of all, undefeated Southwest. Winding up the regular season at full steam, they enjoyed a wet victory over arch-rivals Fort Lauderdale. This victory brought to Broward the undisputed crown of the Northern Division of the Gold Coast Con- ference. In a tough and tight post-season game in the Orange Bowl, the Bulldogs missed the all-conference crown by losing 6-7 to South- west.
