THE PIONEER 1965 SOUTH BERWICK HIGH SCHOOL South Berwick, Maine Edited by the Senior Class GRAYSON A. HARTLEY, Superintendent of Schools. A MESSAGE TO THE SENIORS Graduation marks your entrance into the adult world. The background which you have established at South Berwick High School is only the foundation for the wide school of experience which you will attend for the rest of your life. But, before you sever com- pletely the ties of your high school career, pause for a moment to reflect upon the in- terest and faith that your parents, your teachers, and your townspeople have shown in you. Show them, in turn, that you are worthy of their confidence by giving the best of yourself to the task of becoming a mature, worthwhile citizen in today's world. Looking back over the years, we see you laboring, enduring heartaches and sacrifices with love, in order thatwe maybe healthy, happy, and well-rounded individuals. You were our first and greatest teachers. In order that we might receive adequate training and a more thorough education you guided us to high school for which we will be ever grateful to you. Your efforts, dear Parents, have not been in vain. Because of them, we are about to emerge into adult- hood as better citizens. Our hearts are filled with grat- itude, love, and respect as we ded- icate this edition of the Pioneer to you, our dear Parents.
