Freshmen Experiences We entered South Bend Catholic Une sunny September morn, We soon IOUIILI out to our dismay We were the Seniors' scorn. Uur next trial was well-planned And what people d1dn't say! For they had seen us all disguised, Un our Initiation Day. There were boys that looked like girls And girls that looked like men, And to this day we shudder yet when we think of what we'd been. Our wounds were soothed however , By the dances that followed soon, And we knew that all was forgiven As we danced to a favorite time XVO next elected a president :No primaries were needed for thisb, But we wonder how many of us Remember just who he is. We finally received our report cards The first of our high school days, And more than one of us, we're afraid, Were told to mend his ways. XVhen football season rolled around Things happened thick and fast, And when our team had battled hard XVc cheered them to the last. Then there came the well-planned plays There were dramas and comedies witty, And all that saw them do agree They thought them very pretty. Many things could we relate Of things we planned to do, But until we're Sophomores new and fresh We'll say so long to you. H55 -as
