Activities EDITORS’ PAGE We have chosen “Music and Movies as our theme to associate events with songs of our high school years. We have shown many of the times we had together, both in and out of school. Our main goal was to bring more pictures into the yearbook. Through these pictures we feel that we have succeeded in capturing the outstanding qualities of a great class. 4'« 3 DEDICATION Thomas Gifford “Giff” has been many things to us during our days at Hoffman, a leader, a teacher, a friend — even a bus driver. Bruce demonstrated to us a love for life . .. life with all its limitations, with all its failures, with all its shortcomings, with all its pain. This gift of love reflected the very nature of God. The courage with which he faced each day was an inspiration to those around him. 16 Bruce lived the life he knew to its fullest. 17 James Aceta AMBITION: Truck driver Diane Adams AMBITION. Fifty-two of these American citizens still remained hostages in Iran after 360 days, but we at Hoffman High could not forget our captive Americans. In a ceremony planned by the Student Council, students and teachers joined to- gether in the singing of “My Country tis of Thee and, Tie a Yellow Ribbon in which they substituted, “It’s freedom that we look for with those ribbons round those trees. Members of the Student Council tied 360 ribbons on every handrail and post in sight. Mark Wyzykowski and George Virgilio, made statements of support for the hos- tages as classmates and teachers listened. Now, after 444 days of captivity, our American Hostages have been set free. We at Hoffman High would like to welcome them home to the best country of all, The United States of America. 74 76 77 HISTORY Mr. Gonsalves Mr. Beattie Learning about yesterday . . . understanding today. 78 SCIENCE Miss Search Mr. Bonner Discovery of the why and how of all things. 79 80 Mrs. Donnelly PHYS ED HEALTH Mr. McCarthy t Carney Mrs. McDonnell 82 83 ENGLISH Mr. Olszak Mr. O'Leary Mr. Klein Mr. Johnson 84 Mrs. Grener, Librarian 85 Mrs. Kantor, Spanish MATH 86 Mr. Inman BUSINESS Mrs. O’Brien Mr. Tomaszewski Miss Sul Mrs. Larkins 87 Barbara Webb Dot Nebus Carol Sabine Lorraine Wagner 88 89 BOYS SOCCER Standing: Coach Gonsalves, W.
