PREFACE After many months of disagreement, hardships, hard work AND fun we have finally reached the completion of Our Book . We hope it will be filled with enjoyment for all. I'll give you a vaca- tion . DEDICATION The never ending whirling cycle of the life of Harold G. Hoffman High slows to focus on 1971. The spirit at Hoffman is shown by many. This quality comes alive, by the action of a gentleman who has dedicated so much of himself to the Senior Class. There are not enough words to express our feelings, nor, a way to show our deep appreciation for his guidance. He played as guard and is the key to the teams success. DANNY PA ONE -- 6ft. 1851bs. returning from a knee injury proved to be an asset to this years 1970-71 Varsity team. He has a good eye, good speed, and is good off the boards. Danny likes to drive and al- ways gives that 100 DENNIS YANOSKI — He can pass and defend with the best. The 6ft. 1701b. Varsity player has terrific spring, which gives him an impor- tant position in the defense department. Dennis handles the ball well and his attitude and desire are tops. TOM WORTLEY -- A hard working center, at 6ft. 2in., assists the plays and protects the boards with the best. Chet is an important de- fensive asset to the ball club. Danny Chet PAT QUINLAN -- 5ft. lOin. has the ability to rebound. He enjoys the game holding a high interest in his team. Pat would rather defend, pass, and help assist the plays than score. MIKE COLUCCI — Mike handles the ball with style and has an ex- cellent average from the charity line. He is 5ft. lOin. at 1801bs. and has the desire and attitude needed to be a Varsity player. The players all work especially well together and every game won has been accomplished with team work. This year the Guvs took the sting out of St. Marys, So. Amboy, in the Monsignor Sullivan Christ- mas Tournament, downing the Eagles 74-65 and reversing roles from last season's championship game. The Guvs grabbed the tourney crown with strong rebounding, tenacious play and fine shooting from every section of the court. H.H.S. went all the way to Central Jersey, but were downed in a heart breaking game against their rough opponents, Henry Hudson.
