The WesTern Look made a comeback in I98O, feafur- ing everyThing from cowboy haTs To hand-Tooled leaTher booTs. Accompanying These accessories were plaid shirTs, denim vesfs, leaTher belfs, and sTring Ties. AnoTher popular sTyle was The liTTle girl look which exhibifed ifself everywhere in '80 fashion. Silk blouses wiTh big bow Ties, pleafed skirTs, and pin-on lace collars were all parT of The look, Many sTandard sporTswear iTems were revamped in '80 by The use of new maferials. Velour gave sweafers and blazers a soffer look, while silk did The same for blouses. A more rugged look was achieved in vesTs, skirfs, and panTs by The use of corduroy. Accessories were very imporTanT in '80: double-wrap belTs, slides, ankle-sTrap shoes, and clogs were among The many essenfial fashion iTems. In purses, shiny meTallic spacesacs and cluTches were in vogue.
