Your Contributions at South Allegheny have been very commendable. You are students who have displayed personal interest in your school and have conducted yourselves so as to bring respect and honor to your communities. lt has been a privilege for me to have had some part in providing you with the educational opportunity you have had to adequately prepare you for the future. You have provided us with much to remember through your accom- plishments. I know that there will be even more to remind us of you as you take what you have learned at South Allegheny and apply it to the fulfillment of your aims in life. Best of luck. Sincerely yours, Peter E. Gallo, President South Allegheny Board of School Directors lb 54 JVIEQLCLQS Qwm . C755 cgwuflsfcinfancfsnfa Dear 1978 Graduate, Now that you have completed a very important phase of your life, graduation from W MR. CHARLES w. LALLEY Superintendent Graduates, You have reached a milestone in your lives. Your commencement connotes the beginning of the assumption of your adult role in society. You have many memories of events and experiences at South Allegheny. These should help to guide you in coping with the vicissitudes of life. The Class of '78 has made its mark at South Allegheny, and quite a distinguished record it was. We know we can look forward to even greater accomplishments from you as you make your individual contributions to society. Set your sights high, give of yourselves, and always be positive in yourthinking. It has been a privilege and a pleasure having been associated with you and all South Allegheny students, past and present, throughout the years. Best wishes always. South Allegheny High School, you should pause to reflect on your life thus far. Think about your parents and other relatives, neighbors, friends, and acquaintances. . .everyone with whom you have had some contact. Consider what each of these people has meant in your life, and decide how each has affected the person you are today. Pause, too, to reflect on yourself. Really think about the kind of person you have become, Try to see yourself. . .not as you would like to be . . .but as you really are. Think about what you have accomplished thus far in life. Have you taken advantage of the opportunities which have been presented to you? Now, reflect about the person you would like to be. What are your objectives and goals? Can you now make the necessary adiustments and decisions to achieve them? If so, dedicate yourself to fulfilling your potential and show the dignity, respect and responsibilities you now possess, Your future is with you now. Spread out your hands and grasp the present. ln the words of John Galsworthy, lf you do not think about the future, you cannot have one. May your future hold all that you desire. Sincere Best Wishes I y 7 . , gy g ixtity, iin W If sg. W DR. JOSEPH F. COMO Assistant Superintendent Resigned April 1, 1978 ROBERTS.WATT Efamanfazy cguflafzuiaofz Difcacfofz of gfamanfamy fducation You, the class of 1978, are about to begin a new life. As you look back with fond recollections of the years that you have spent at South Allegheny, you will come to realize that now is the time when you must take your rightful place in society. Our society needs competent people in all types of professions and vocations. As long as your endeavor is honorable, the manner in which you fulfill it is far more important than the position itself. Be sincere in all that you undertake, for true success can be determined only by your own feelings and the way that you perceive yourself. We hope that our years together have prepared you to begin a fine career and a useful life. May each of you accomplish your goals and attain true success. Robert S. Platt, Ed. D.
