Fol-de-Rol and Fiddely dee the fairy godmoth- er, Jenny Lehman is sure to see that Cinderella, Angle Baker, receives her wish. Hear ye, hear ye ... the South Adams Music Depart- ment successfully performed this year ' s musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein ' s Cinderella. Cinderella is the story of a young girl who works like a slave for her stepmother and stepsisters. Like Cinderella, cast members work themselves like slaves to learn their lines and songs before performance. When the clock strikes twelve, many cast members are just turning out their lights after returning home from a late night musical practice. The week of performance is often very hectic, with the most late practices to finalize last minute details. Performance night is a magi- cal night. There is some ner- vousness, but when the curtain rises, a magical spell is cast over the stage. Everyone seems to re- member all that they have prac- ticed, and the performance is superb. ¥n u ica
