1 ' tut S M . ' w ' Mm ' - REFLECTION 1972 South Adams Schools Berne and Geneva, Indiana Suanne Amstutz — Irv Koehler Geraldine Linder THE GOOD LIFE Those who are always striving for an easier way, Forget to add the simpler things to their life. All we want is a beautiful, natural day, A day to look in wonder at the sky, To count the stars on a clear night. Or fall asleep to a gentle rain. As we go through our daily strife, May there always be a calm river of peace To take away our anger and grief. And may there always be a starry night, To gaze on and wonder. About our life and what we think. — Irv Koehler ■• - ' ; ;: l p i . , Table of Contents Dedication 4 Faculty and Administration 8 Students 20 Organizations 58 Sports 78 Activities 96 Middle School . . The teams at our school may not make history, but those who parti- cipated will never forget the hard work, times of anguish, and the moments of glory they experienced . A man who we all loved, A man we all will miss, A man who was a great football coach, A man who was a great wrestling coach A man we all enjoyed being around. Who helped us when we were down, A man who gave everything he could to make us , feel proud of our school. Who was this man that meant so much to us, who made us so proud to have him? We all know, it was Mr. Sekerak. -Tex Weaver Although Mr. Jerry Sekerak was with us for only a short time, he left behind many memories and lasting influences. We can never repay him for the time, energy, and devotion he put into our school, but we can be glad that we had a chance to know and to love him. Since sports were an important part of his life, we would like to dedi- cate this section to the memory of Coach Sekerak and all that he did for South Adams High School. God sometimes moves in mysterious ways. We neither understand why or how. But we must accept whatever His plan. He has taken a truly great man from us. Probably one of the most wonderful we have ever met. But it is done. And we must look to the future. And pray that He will give us the strength to go on. And thank Him for the short time we had to share With a man we all learned to know and love. -Deb O ' Dell ;if i rlr ' ' ' ± ixJi 2-, ■ i ' Sii j 1971-72 GRIDIRON SEASON Top Row, Left to Right: Coaches Beer and Mosser, Ron Stevens, Bob Bertsch, Stan Neuenschwander, Charlie Neuenschwander, Dean Von Gunton, Jim Keller, Gary BoUenbacher, John Liechty, Rick Neuenschwander, Gary Habegger, Scott Rigby, Head Coach Sekerak, and Assistant Coach Metzger . May 21, 1972 will always be remembered by us as the day we started our struggle in the world. Each of us will recall the hot evening when we marched on the gym floor up to the stage to re- ceive that precious diploma. Then the thing we may remember most is the joyous celebration in the halls following graduation. It was a mix- ture of whoops, kisses, tears, and howls. Then afterwards we realize that each and everyone of us from that day forward would pursue his own course in life. HH| HfI.%1H 1 m ' 1 % KE-. ' i, ' 1 i ' l Uafk ' ' ..
