[ Hypotheses Taken to Science Fair The science fair involved many hours of investigation for students. Their work was rewarded as they received tro- phies and knowledge. Reflecting the trend of the day, Jo- anne Sprunger ' s grand prize project concerned the effectsof dr ugs. Second place in the Senior biological section was given to Rick Gulp and Mark Conrad who worked with coc- cidiosis. In the physical division, Steve Garboden and Ed Liechty won first for their gas chromatography project. Bruce Weimer, with light diffraction, placed second. Left: Judges acquit or condemn young scientists efforts.

The frustration of learning scripts vanished as the actors performed for the appreciative audiences. Two plays which included Cinderella and My Hos tthe Ghost made their debuts at Geneva. Sweetheart Banquet On the evening of February 14, the Sunshine Society held its annual Sweetheart Banquet. The school cafeteria was decorated in accordance with the theme of Our Win- ter Love. ■■ A nineteenth century sleigh with green vel- vet cushions was the dominant feature in the decor. Prior to the banquet the girls and their dates could have their pictures taken by a photographer. Following the meal of steak, baked potatoes , combination salad, corn, and strawberry shortcake, the couples were entertained by a trio from the lU-Purdue Regional Campus at Fort Wayne.
