Foreword It has been said that a good book is one which an individual opens with anticipation and closes with profit. The goal of the annual staff was to present such a book to you. In order to serve the students, teachers, and the school, we endeavored to capture the moods and emotions of those individuals who spent a major portion of the day within the confines of the South Adams Community Schools. As you page through your yearbook, notice the expressions of surprise, meditation, triumph, and excitement portrayed in the faces of the students. Listen to the laughter of students as it bounces and echoes through the halls. Direct your attention to the silence in the classrooms where students are deep in thought. Glance at the personalities of these students which form a mixture of the fun-loving, the eager, and the studious. The memories associated with certain pictures may affect each student differently. For one, the picture may symbolize the sweetness of a bee ' s honey while for another, it may recall the sharpness of a bee ' s sting. Whatever emotions the words and pictures stimulate, it is our hope that we have accurately reflected life at South Adams.
