Unaliyi 1960 Focusing its efforts toward producing a yearbook which would portray the new Souderton Area Joint High School, the yearbook staff chose Modern Education for Tomorrow's World as the theme for Unaliyi 7960. With this theme in the background, the wheels of progress began turning steadily to reach our goal. First of all we chose our editor, Jo Ann Hope, and the various staffs required to compile the yearbook. Under the guidance of the faculty advisors, Miss Weinert and Miss Gerhart, we then set to work on our Unaliyi. The literary staff searched through volumes and volumes in order to find appropriate quotations for Miss F. Carol Weinert-Literary Advisor Miss Elizabeth Gerhart-Business Advisor section headings of the book. The photographic staff and a professional photographer shot many care- fully, cleverly planned pictures. Articles were assign- ed, written, and rewritten. And by Christmas time the first sixteen pages were ready to be given to the publisher. In January the business staff took the limelight by conducting a sales campaign, launched by the dedication announcement and skit. On this the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the Unaliyi the members of Unaliyi 7960's staff sincerely hope that our product will show twenty years of progress in modern education, as well as four years of pleasant memories.
