Clemens. ,Majarcttcs Ure Kalor Guard carrying nur stars ond stripes Wno does not stop to take a second look at a group of snappy-stepping girls, especially when they are marching in front of a colorful band? The '56-'57 Color Guard is, of course, the group to which we are referring. These girls, who carried the colors faithfully at all football and basketball games, were chosen in their junior year, and made their debut at the 1956 Commencement. twirling in time to the tom-tom beat Eight lively strutters decked in Indian attire will long be remembered for the active role they played at our athletic events. Under the direction of Judy Kulp, captain, and Miss Patricia Woomer, faculty adviser, the majorettes did a commendable job when it came time to perform in the brisk, wintry weather that accompanied our football games. They made a pleasant picture, indeed, gaily marching down the field leading the band and twirling their silvery batons. Their specialty numbers displayed at basket- ball half-time shows were the original routines of Judy Kulp, and each performance was spec- tacular. Left to right: N. Huber, S. Hunsberger, J. Landis.
