DEDICATION One of the most devoted and dependable teachers on the faculty of Sonera Unlon Hrgh School rs Mrss Parlr Thls was expressed by a very close acquarntance of hers and reveals the sentrments felt by many who know her Darsy Irene Parlr was the youngest of twelve chrldren rarsed on a Nebraska farm She recerved her A B degree from the Un1vers1ty of Nebraska where she attend as a mathemaucs maJor She has also attended lllrnors Women s College has done graduate work at Claremont College and has enrolled rn summer sessrons at the Um versrty of Stanford She IS very experrenced rn secretarral work and bookkeeprng the frrst subject she taught when she came to Sonora l-hgh Ill 1938 Mrss Pall now teaches Algebra I Geometry Algebra lll and Trrgonometry She has also been very actlve rn the Calrfornra Teachers Assocratron and has been on the Assocratron Her many Journeys to Europe Florrda Mexrco the Hawauan Islands and through our own state ofCal1forn1a proves that she loves to travel Among other favorrtes of hers are strawberrres for breakfast an apple for lunch and frred chrcken for drnner She loves flowers and has taken flower arranglng courses as a favorrte pastrme Her classes wrll agree that she must always have arr lots of rt summer or wrnter A rather unusual drslrke of hers however IS that she has found drffrculty on occassron rn speedlng through Manteca We the staff of the 1960 Green and Gold would llke to dedrcate thrs yearbook to Mrss Parlr as a small symbol for all she has done for the students of Sonora Unron l-hgh School state council for six years.
