Elections for student body officers are held at the end of each year with the exception of the Green and Gold editor who is elected in March. The following fall the officers take their place in the student council. The functions of the council are: to promote school spirit; to plan student body ac- tivities; to uphold the constitution; to promote school citizenship; to promote public welfare; and to promote student leadership. Standing below, left to right are; Pat Musser, Secretary of the Student Body; Lloyd Hobby, Commissioner of Traffic. Sitting: Pete Aroz. Treasurer of the Student Body; and Bill McCown, Vice President of the Student Body. CAse I Purposes of the C.A.S.C. are: to encourage ac- tive leadership and statesmanship; to obtain co- ordination and cooperation in activities among student councils within the State, that practical education in the principles of American govern- ment may result. The first Region II meeting of 1955 was held in Sonora during February.
