He spent three years in the Army, and attended Chico State where he earned his B.A. MR. KENNETH HUFF, machine shop, taught aviation for the Navy during World War ll. He has a B.S. degree, and for the past three years has sponsored the senior class. MR. GAEL KAUFFMAN, agriculture teacher, sponsored the F.F.A. He earned his B.S. degree at U.C. He was in the infantry for four years. MRS. AL- LENE KIRSCHMAN, girls' PE teacher and counselor, sponsored thesG'.A.A. and Wild- cat Whirlers. She attended San Jose State where she earned her B.A. and M.A. de- grees. MISS MARY LONG, biology and general science teacher, attended U.C. where she earned her B.A. degree. MR. ART MCGRATH, coach and boys' PE teacher, is a graduate of Humboldt State and Stanford. He has a B.A. and an M.A. degree. He served in the infantry for three years. MRS. RUTH MUSSER, commercial teacher and senior class sponsor, was in the American Women's Volunteer Service during World War Il. She is a graduate of Columbia University where she earned her B.A.

FRANK BORREGO, commercial teacher and sponsor of the Student Council this year, earned his B.A. at the University of Colorado and is working on his M.A. at San Jose State. He spent time in the Army as a sergeant. MR. LOYAL CASTLE, English and general math, was also a coach at Sonora. He was one of the sponsors of the freshman class. He attended San Jose State where he earned his B.A., and served in the Army Air Force. MR. CALVIN CRABILL taught band and orchestra and sponsored the Music club. He graduated from U.C., where he earned a B.A., and served in the Navy. MR. JAMES DALEY, iournalism and English teacher, sponsored The Green and Gold and The Wildcat. He earned his B.A. at the University of New Mexico, and did three years post graduate.work at U.C. During World War II he was a disbursing officer in the Navy. MISS NAOMI EDINGER spent her first year at S.U.H.S. teaching home economics. She attended Linfield College, University of Oregon, and University of Washington to earn her B.A. degree. MR. She earned her B.A. degree at Nebraska Univer- sity. MRS. GLADYS RODGERS, freshman social studies, was the sophomore class sponsor. She has a B.S. degree in education. She attended the University of Pitts- burgh and Illinois and C.O.P. MRS. CLAIRE SARGENT, French, Spanish, and senior problems, was the Dean of Girls and also sponsored the Girls' League. She earned her B.A. at the University of California and is completing work on her M.A. MR. GLENN SMITH was an instructor of industrial arts and PE. For three and a half years he served as a chief petty officer in the Navy. His B.A. was earned after at- tending Chico State, Oregon State, and Santa Barbara. MRS. MARGARET SWAN- SEA, instructor of choral music, the Green and Gold Choraleers, and the chorus sponsor, attended U.C.L.A. There she earned her B.A. MRS. IRENE THOMAS, senior problems and girls' PE teacher, attended Huron College to earn her B.A. degree. She was co-sponsor of dramatics. MRS. ALMA WOLFE, freshman and sophomore English and Latin teacher, sponsored the Bible club this year. Her B.A. degree was earned at the University of California.
