Senior Class This year our class enrollmenf dropped fo ninefyeeighf. Many of our boys have been called for service in fhe armed forces. The resf of us have falcen parf-fime posi- fions, helped in fhe scrap-mefal drives, and sold and purchased war bonds. lf was nof possible fo have fhe usual Senior acfivifies fhis year and we sacrificed willingly many of fhe pleasures fo which we had loolced forward for fhree years. Our Senior play and Senior Difch Day had fo be eliminafed because of fransporfafion difficulfies. We did manage fo have fhe yearly Faculfy-Senior baslcefball games before gas rafioning wenf info effecf, and we followed fhe example of lasf year's Seniors by defeafing fhe faculfy. Bofh games were hard-foughf and were enioyed by fhe specfafors and confesfanfs. Plans for fhe Senior loanquef had fo be abandoned buf we had a Prom on May 21 fhaf will be a happy memory for every Senior who was able fo be fhere. Our Bacca- laureafe services were held on May 30, and fhe lasf day of school, June 4, saw us puffing aside our books fo sfarf forfh fo find our place in fhe nafional efforf fo bring World War ll fo a speedy conclusion. , 2' W : rye Q 1 1, ' 2 .
