This award goes to a senior boy who his teammates feel has tried the hardest and made the best contribution to the team. Because of his outstanding job this year, Manuel was chosen as one of the football captains, made the All-District team and received Honorable Mention on the All State Team. Manuel had pride, leadership, and was a conscientious player. He played four years of high school football. His first two years were played on the B Team. Even though he was the smallest man on the team, he was the man that would hit the k hardest. He was a big threat on kick-offs. Because he excelled so, his sophomore year, he moved up to the Varsity. His senior year, playing on defense, he knew where each player was going and whether the quarterback was going to pass or run with the ball. Because of his abilit to do all thin s well, Manuel Sanchez Zleceived the Nfthan I Football Banquet Award' Proves Successfulg TCU Head Coach, Fred Taylor, Is Guest Speaker. If children did not exist, it would be impossible to invent them - for who could ever think them up. The mixture of adventure, the unexpected- ness, kindness, loyalty, love, mischeviousness, and all the other ingredients which compose your character is part of what makes teaching a genuine pleasure. Congratulations on a job well done. I hope your future years will bring you just as much happiness as we have had during the past school year. 344 fmzww, !
