D. Leavitt was our superintendent of schools for the greater part of our school years. He did his job well and was well liked in the community. Now that he has taken up another job in another city and state, our senior year gives us a new superintendent: Mr. Robert Watson. % Mr. Watson is new to the Somerville community. He is coming to Somer- ville at a time when the High School is being enlarged and renovated. There will be hard decisions to make while this is going on, but he will do his best to make sure the Somerville school System will work to its full potential. The Class of 1983 would like to wish Mr. Watson success in his career as the Superintendent of Schools in Somerville. 97 M, Robert A Watson Superintendent Mr Anthony Fedele TTeaJmasJeT- Mr Danei Macero AsstSuptânrffTn T?n! Paying bills with money we werenât sure we had and watching deadlines fly by were difficult, but we made it. Through the cooperation of a super staff who worked very hard and with the help of many teachers, parents, and friends the 1983 yearbook finally became a reality. However, a special thanks should go to: Maria Olivera- who typed the faculty section. Mrs. Mackey's fourth period class- who typed the senior section. Linda Leggett- who did such an outstanding job on all aspects of the senior section. Steve Power- who so unselfishly gave of his time to help produce the sports section. Cheryll May- who did a great job with the Christmas Carnations Michele Nickerson. Evelyn Spanks. Denise Noe. John Santoro. Ann Marie Galuuo. Esther Psaroudls, Marie Desjardin. Lori Davidson, and those others who were so willing to help in any way possible on a dally basis. Val Sebastian and Marlene Bell and their team for a great )ob selling candy without which money many bills would have been unpaid Finally we cannot forget all the homeroom reps, without whose help very little else could get done. To any others who might have been missed, please accept our apologies for missing you and our thanks for your help. Sincerely. Mr. Collins will probably be most remembered for his famous opening line, âAny questions, comments, observations, trials, tribulations or sufferings.â As a teacher his main concern was getting the educational knowledge of his class across to his students which made learning much more interesting. This method of teaching in our eyes has caused the students to want to learn, and this will influence us for the rest of our lives. In conclusion we would like to thank Mr. Collins for all his dedication and hard work which he gave to all his students, and also we would like to thank him for being one of the most dedicated members of our faculty.
