As groduoting Seniors we filed into the ouditorium in a solemn procession with the sud- den realization that this wos the last day which we would spend together os o Class. Crisp white dresses, neat tailored suits, ond a sco of blue ond white beonies greeted the guests seated in the bolcony. The Closs Ode, written by Norma DeFeo, wos sung by the entire Senior Class; the Closs Poem wos recited by Florence Sotiros, the Closs Poet. After the presentation of the Class Gift by Ralph DeGruttola, we proceded to the campus. Here we planted the ivy, which is traditionally ossocioted with walls grown old ond mellow in the service of years. The spode wos then presented to the President of the Junior Closs, ond the class banner was received by the Closs of '56. In the early oftemoon the Closs left for the annual Class Day Cruise. GLADYS SKEFFINGTON PAULINE BUCKLAND DAVID SCHAE6E PAUL ABRAHAM IAN RICHARD PENEZIC SiMiim r.iiiiiiiiiltm! It wo Springtime! Moytimc! Promtime! and you were never lovelier. Moy 6, on evening in goy Poree, is o night long to be remembered by every Senior in the class of 1953. Our theme, Evening in Poris, creoted the atmosphere of a section of Poris with side walk cafes, narrow bookstalls, and quoint little shops. What could be more romantic? Adding to all this wos the dreamy music of Freddy Guerro's orchestra, including Joe MocPherson, one of our graduates who hos been singing with Freddy for the post year. The traditional Grond March led by Mr. ond Mrs. Giroux and our King and Queen wos followed by the distribution of delightful fovors. To our prom dotes, we say once more, Thonk you for o lovely evening. Twenty-one
