After three years filled with experiences which we sholl cherish for o life- time, we ore foced with the practical problems of a new odult existence in a highly com- petitive world. Happiness and sadness meet and mingle os we leave our Alma Mater. For many of us. this will be Our first parting with deor friends. For all of us it will be o time of mixed emotions. Being young, we look forword; and the molding of our lives is a challenge which we graciously occept. Yet we crove security—the security we have found in devoted friendships here at Somerville High School. The full impoct of Shakespeare's immortal Porting is such sweet sorrow is felt now as we spend our lost few doys os students ot Ye Olde Academy. We have ottoined our goo I. We must assume the responsibilities of young adults in our community; for, os we don our cops ond gowns, we put owoy our childhood. To help you recoil good times ond to keep alive fond memories, we present — The 1953 Annuol. Co- Editors ERNEST PASSERO JANE DOGGETT Yiiiirlimik Advisor OLIVE 8. MocPHERSON Fifteen
