Yearliiiuli StaFF Turning out o yearbook isn't os simple os turning out a monthly magazine, os we dis- covered while producing the 1949 annual. Whoever termed it a book fitted the appropri- ate title to this heavily worded tome. Then, too, we hove reputation to live up to. The 1949 Yearbook received a first closs rating of the National Competition ot Columbia. Our adviser. Miss Olive MacPhcrson, wisely guided the stoff in the preparation of the Yearbook. There were a great many things to do; design o cover, select a layout of material, sort all the dota cards ond pictures, write up the organizations, and finally, arrange the huge pile of moteriol for the printer. Much credit for efficient leodcrship ond orgonizotion goes to John Forte, our editor. The praiseworthy efforts of Robert Dini, the business monogcr, kept affairs in general running smoothly. The energetic work of the willing ond enthusiastic staff resulted in an easily read, well- bolanced yearbook. We hope it pleoses the Seniors, for they are the final judges of its worth.
