Through the years there has developed in the senior his own unique concept of success, but whatever this concept may be, he may yet have to learn that success will not just come to him, that it does not occupy some pre- determined lofty space in his life. Perhaps an idealist in his impatience to strive toward and reach new and better goals, perhaps a dreamer with incredibly great expectations, the senior's rejection of the pettiness of mediocre life remains that of a realist who has come to see the world as it is. He sees selfishness, in- equality, misunderstanding, and corrup- tion, and he wants to abolish them.
