High- Michel- Iight of the season for Coach Robert Michel was the 68-6l upset win over a veteran Hampton team, which had won sixteen consecutive games. Just prior to the first game, a heart breaking 54-56 loss to Berwick Acad- emy, the varsity squad members chose two seniors, Jeffrey Francoeur and Nor- man Ferland, as co-captains. Co-captain Jeffrey Francoeur scored 334 points in eighteen games to break Roger Lapointe's record of 306 points made in l953. He also broke Lapointe's record of an l8-point per game average, made in l954, by averaging l8.6 points per game for eighteen games. The original record of 277 points set by James Fabiano in the l938-39 sea- son has been beaten by exactly four players - Coach Robert Michel, Roger Lapointe, Robert Lapointe, and Jeffrey Francoeur. The scoring of the other six lettermen follows: David Vallee, l56, Paul Hen- nelly, l38, John Xenos, l28, Norman Ferland, l23, Roderick Ferland, 62, and Costa Smirles, 47.
