May the next class be more cf:-operative, understanding, and more ambitious. CLASS PROP!-IECY Twenty- years have passed since I have heard of the graduating class of '53 at Somerset. My work as Superintendent of Nurse's at the hospital has kept me quite busy but since my two weeks vacation is starting, I have decided to travel quite a bit. I bade good-bye to my fellow nurse the former Minnie Myers. She was busy issuing medicine which Mr. Ed Harrison had just sent up. Mr. Harrison is our hospital pharmacist. Then in her spare time she helps out in the chemistry laboratory. Dr. Miller is the research supervisor there. I-Ie just invented a new way to travel to the moon. He calls it the Millite Tours. To get ready for my traveling I wanted to have my hair set so you couldn't imagine my surprise when I found the beauty Shoppe was owned by three of my former classmates, Oneda Music, Carolyn Robinson and JoAnn Grag. I chatted with each one and found that Carolyn has recorded a few popular records lately, JoAnn told me that Oneda was modeling, purely as a hobby and that she, herself, was soon to be married. I decided to trade cars for the trip and after going to the Chevrolet garage and looking over the cars I found my salesman to be none other than Marvin Lawson. He told me he had just bought half interest in General Motors. He said that he had gotten tired of Olds- mobiles and drove only Cadillacs, now. I filled my car with gas and started to leave when who should I find was the gas sta- tion attendant but Charles Foust. I-le said he owned the Texaco station now and works at the race tracks in his spare time. He said Earl Music is quite a race car driver and is en- tered in the 500 mile race this year, the odds being 5 to 1 for Earl. As I drove toward Somerset, I went past the Fort Wayne Coliseum and saw that the Globetrotters were playing. Since I had not seen them play for quite a while I went in and to my surprise found they were playing the Short All-Stars. Pam and Kenny had raised their own team and were really giving the Globetrotters competition. Pam told me that some people thought this was against the law, but they employed their own lawyer, Bill Barnett, and he had never lost a case for them yet. She also told me that Larry Drook was quite a business man and owned quite a few large firms. As I drove by the theatre I noticed that Dave Smith was starring in his latest picture, All 1 W'ant If Girly. He is married to Marilyn Monroe-or is it Judy Garland? Anyway it's his ninth wife. He lives permanently in Reno, now. He says it saves time. After leaving the theatre I went on to Somerset and visited the old Alma Mater. I found that I didn't even recognize the place. However, I did know the principal. He was our former class president Dean Eppley. He told me that he had been prinpical ever since Mr. Clinker took the job as president of Columbia University. He said the school had been remodeled just in the past two years. Lucas Cruz was the owner of the construction crew that did the remodeling. He told me that Lucas had so many offers for construction that he couldn't handle them all. After spending the rest of my vacation visiting the folks I hurried back to the hospital and reported for duty. I was immediately told to report to surgery and after finishing my work I hunted up Minnie who was supervising the floor and asked who the new doctor was. She told me that it was Lloyd Johnson the famous surgeon. He was known all over, for the work of his delicate brain operations. This sums up the entire NINETEEN EIFTY-THREE graduating class. Each will find his place in the world and each will contribute his bit toward the betterment of mankind. . . .
