I left my folk and friends with the aim to clear my mind out. Well I hit the rowdy road, and many kinds I met there, many stories told me of the way to get there So on and on I go. The seconds tick the time out. There’s so much left to know. And I’m on the road to find out. Well in the end I’ll know, but on the way I wonder through descending snow, and through the frost and thunder, I listen to the wind come howl, telling me I have to hurry. I listen to the robin’s song saying not to worry. So on and on I go. The seconds tick the time out. There’s so much left to know. And I’m on the road to find out. Then I found myself alone, hoping someone would miss me. Thinking about my home, and the last woman to kiss me. But sometimes you have to moan when nothing seems to suit yer, but nevertheless you know you’re locked toward the future. So on and on I go. The seconds tick the time out. There ' s so much left to know. And I’m on the road to find out. Then I found my head one day when I wasn’t even trying, and here I have to say, ’cause there is no use in lying, lyin ' Yes the answer lies within, so why not take a look now, kick out the devil’s sin, pick up, pick up a good book now Yes the answer lies within, so why not take a look now kick out the devil’s sin, and pick up, pick up a good book now CAT STEVENS ■ . . It’s always been the same old story, from the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen, now there’s a way and I know I have to go, away, I know, I have to go . . . . If they were right I’d agree but it’s them they know not me now there’s a way, and I know that I have to go away, I know I have to go . . I 143 Gordon Fitzgerald — Senior Class President This has been our senior year in Som¬ erset High. Our days of talking in the corridors, sleeping in class, finding out new happenings, and making old friends new again are over. Can you remember back to our freshman days when you wouldn’t make a noise in school? Compare it with now. I hope that you feel that OUR senior year was the best of all. We tried new and old ideas. I just hope they all worked. Now many of us will go out into today ' s soci¬ ety and be nobody; but, just remember, in Somerset you’ll always be some¬ body. Even though you might not see some of your friends again, you can all think back and enjoy. I want to thank Mr. LaMothe for the great job he did on the yearbook. I know it took a great deal of worrying, work, and time. I want to wish every¬ body the best of luck in the future and may God bless you.
