The Somerset High School golf team complet¬ ed its first year of varsity competition in June. The Raiders competed in the Bristol Scholastic Golf League’s western division, which is comprised from the area’s larger schools. Pat DeMarco (girls in Sports ’66 The undefeated girls’ softball team completed the 1966 season with an impressive 8-0 record. The champions, who boast an average of about 13 runs per game, took command of the league and held the number one position throughout the season. Miss Corcoran, the coach, and Captain Peg Hunt led the team to success. Supporting the team in key positions were Pam Driscoll, Sandy Curt, Pat Cyr, and Pat DeMarco. The 1966 volleyball team, led by co-captains Kathy Lennon and Kathy Goodwin, finished the season in the runnerup position in the league.
