E IOR BRAV S XY!hen ne is young Indians entered this great Longhousc yye eagerly awlited the dly ywhen yye yyould be the oldest bray es of learning in the Longhouse The fire ot your youthful spirit kindled our thoughts and actions and soon vye attained this high position for which we had 'ispired so long This year vyas full of yoy special priyileges nevi responsibilities our departure from our Longhouse and our embarkation upon a new ady enture Because strong ties bound us together vye worked and acted as one deriving our strength from our loyalty for one another Among our actiyities yyere a glorious tribal dance with the fairest maiden 1nd the handsomest braye of our group reigning oyer the eyening .1 feast for the purpose of fun and food a play enacting a legend ot our people and a une Festiyal yyhere the maidens of our tribe yyere honored and the physical skills and strength of our young brayes vyere demonstrated Our prophets taught us all the legends instilled in us wisdom and instructed us in the skills and crafts in preparation for our departure Thus our story at this Longhouse of learning came to a close Ey en as vye sang triumphant chants at the end of a strife well done our song faded into sad strains of farevy ell .
