Tney are Jean Ber- etta, Rose Ann Markitan, Patriciw Meyers, and David Thuerauf. Along with them were Raymond Croy, Elenor Gay, Wilbur Neared, Mary Jean Slofer, and Betty Rein- berg. Wilbur Nearad, Mary Jean Slofer, and David Thuersuf left in l9hl and James Huber joined our class. In l9h2, we lost Betty Reinberg. Elenor Gay left us for the year of 19h3. In 191514. Betty Brown entered our class. Carolyn Michel and James Eastwood entered our class in l9h5, and James Huber left us for a while. Betty Brown did not attend school in Solon in 'h6, while Carolyn Michel left us during the year. In 'h7, Raymond Croy was not in our class, but Harlan Miller joined us lwter in the year. The year of 'hd brought us three new members, Donald Pejchl, Leonard Vanorny, and Joyce Slach. Then came our terrifying freshmen yevr. l9h9 saw a great increase in our class population. we then had 21 to begin with. John Riley joined us later in the year, but we lost him a few months later. 1950's enrollment came down to eiphtteen. we lost Harlan Miller, Delores Frasher, and Raymond Croy, but gained John Thomas. we lost John Thomas in '51, but gained Ann Yarbrough and Charles Cochran. we had our First class play nJust Ducky,u which we enjoyed immensely practicing for. Then came our banquet we had to hive the seniors. This is where our class arguments began. We used the Hawaiian theme, nAloah Bench Frolic,n and we know that the seniors enjoyed it by the way the food went down so rapidly. This was when we really begun to enjoy ourselves. Then came the fall of '52, and our senior year. We elected Jim Eastwood as president of our class and Patricia Meyers as president of the student council. The rest in the class were Victor Benyshek fa new nddltlcnl, Jean Beretta, Patty Brogan, Tom Ciha, Charles Cochran, Jim Huber, Donald Klouda, Rose Ann Markitan, Howard Mottet, Donald Bejchl, Joyce Slach, Rita Slaymaker, Donald Sttgg, Eleanor Stinocher, David Tnuerauf, Leonard Vanorny, and Ann Yar- brough. 0 -' X If 5 Q -if v my !, xl v Q f I0 ind, r.bx 1 U .11 ' x Our first major activity was putting on our class play, 'Aunt Cathie's Cat.n Me will never forget about all the candy and pop we had backstage. After just ten years practice in this military game, He has the title 'Major Generaln preceeding his name. Who could be arriving in that rolling junk heap, That just came down the street with a bound and a leap? The driver steps from his hot rod and strolls this way, Why it's Jim Huber, Stock Car Race Champ of the U. S. A. Next comes Tom Ciha, our Ambassador to France, Wearing a little black mustache, his looks to enchance C?i The reason he rose to this position so fast, Is that he studied so hard in his high school French class. Miss Patricia Meyers is the next guest to see, After ten years, she's still unmarried and free. when men propose, she just won't believe 'em. Her motto is always nLove 'em and leave 'em.' Now parking his cab in front of the hotel, Don Pejchl in his uniform really looks swell. Those who ride in his cab have nothing to fear, For he was just chosen safest driver of the year. The former Joyce Slach is married now, too. As Mrs. P. J. Springmire, she has much to do. She left their gas station and children with Paul, And came to New York to get away from it all. Driving a new cadillac, another guest appears, It's David Thuerauf, a farmer for the past ten years. He owns 200 acres of that fine Iowa land, And under his care it's paid off better than planned Look who just flew in from washington D. C., It's Senator Howard Mottet, a Solon grad. of '53. when asked about it, he had to confess, That to his senior government he owed his success. Once Eleanor Stinocher but not anymore, This gal married Doc Brumwell in 19515. Nine years of it already and she just never tires, Of looking after hubby and all those little jet flyers. Here's Ann Yarbrough, from radio station KBO, As advisor to the lovelorn, she's in the know. She can tell Qirls who want to get husbands, just how, But why do you suppose she's not married by now? There's a clatter of hoofs, who's that coming by horse? Oh, itfs Charlie Cochran, the rodeo star, of course. Hee now holds quite a record, by the way, He's bronc busting champion of the whole U. S. A. Now here's the famed Don Stagg, private Eye, He has the reputation of a hard-boiled tough guy. His detecting genius has solved many crimes, The newspapers have publicized him lots of times. The last to enter through the enormous glass door, Is the interior decorator from Macy's great store, A resident of New York but still she is late, Rose Ann Markitan canft lose that old high school trait.
