Our freshman year was somewhat unsuccessful, but our sophomore year we really started rolling. Our sophomore year was marked by a chicken and waffle supper. It was loads of fun for everyone. We also had a swimming partyg it was the last one our school has sponsored. Our junior year we really lived it up. We had a Halloween Dance which was a great success. All the witches and goblins from Solanco attended. Our talented thespians turned out for a superb performance of A Date With Judy. Our school spirit was boosted by the appearance of a mascot Sally Solanco. We visited our Country's capitol and saw our rich national heritage. Our Junior-Senior Prom closed our iunior year with a festive air. All the Sherlock Holmes' turned out for our mystery play Home Sweet Homicide. We became Santa's little helpers by spreading Christmas candy throughout the southern end in our Christmas candy sales. Our Sno-Ball Dance rolled into every one's holiday plans. Our trip to New York City was an important phase in our narrative, it was enioyed by everyone. We sincerely hope that the underclassmen will enjoy their years at Solanco High School as much as we have. 16 EDWARD ALTHOUSE ACADEMIC Eddie . . ladies man . .ilikes Oxford . . gets around . . cute hair-do ambition-carpenter. They have molded our education into one firm base, So that we, in the future, can secure our place. Many fond memories with friends have been shared, While knowledge and opportunity were being compared. Our new life will be different in many ways, Like a thousand tomorrows and one yesterday. To future students we might pass along, Take heed to all guidance, then you'll never go wrong! And as our footsteps, from Solanco, slowly fade away, These memories will linger with us, each and every day. I CLASS MOTTO- Honor lies in honest toil. -G.
