The Socorro chapter of the Future Farmers of America started off the year with one main interest: getting their livestock ready for competition. They held many of their annual fundraisers, including fruit and chee- se'n sausage sales. Near the end of the year they had their traditional BBQ banquet. The money raised went toward their animals. FFA members took a number of field trips to livestock shows in differ- ent areas such as Lubbock, Sul Ross and San Angelo, where they were in- volved in livestock and grass judging competition. FFA had leadership teams who also competed in various areas in the district contest in No- vember. FFA has busy year Q .V.v..k 70 FFA Q2
