J V. Cheerleaders build spirit Socorro's -I.V. cheerleaders were sponsored by Mrs. Martha Biddle. She sponsored a fine and hardworking squad which attend- ed the National Cheerleaders As- sociation fNCAj summer camp. They returned with two excellence ribbons, one superior award, and one outstanding award in finalist competition. Fund raisers such as bake-sales held this year have helped with uniforms and other necessities. j.V. helped in getting people to yell and participate in athletic ac- tivities and most of all to show how much pride we have for our school. They really worked hard learning new routines and cheers to help our spirit build even high- er. This team has really contribut- ed time and effort, confidence and patience to be the excellent team they are today. And being excel- lent, of course, means being a part of Socorro High School.
