High pirits helptough season Under the guidance of coaches Robert Hernandez and Eddie Gonzalez, the junior varsity had a rough season, losing 7 games and winning 2. Although they started the sea- son off very well with a 15-0 victo- ry over San Elizario, they couldn't keep up the winning streak. The squad kept their spirits high and kept fighting throughout a tough season. Mike Carrasco and David Pena put forth fine performances and led their team with pride. Determination improves team li I feel the season has been somewhat successful in the respect that the players now believe in themselves and know what itls like to win some games, stated Coach Chris Forbes, after ending an ex- ceptionally good season with a 4-5 overall season record. The team lost a few games, but squad leaders like Gustavo Mar- quez, Bobby Lucero, Leonard Montion, Robert Mossman and juan Chavez kept the team spirit up.
