1 28 Math Club ath Club The Math Club consists of stu- dents with a B average in high school math, good citizenship, and no failing grades in any sub- jects. The objective of the club is to promote skill and development in high school mathematics. The club sponsors free tutoring during the school year and places special emphasis on certain areas where a preponderance of weak- ness is evident among their peers. Escontrias Elementary School was rededicated Nov. 12, and re- turned to its orginal name, which has been changed many times over the years. The school was origin- ally named for the family who donated the land for the school, and the Escontrias family was hon- ored at the dedication. The district also began con- struction of Campestre Elemen- tary School, located at Socorro and Passmore roads. It will be ready for classes in the 1982-1983 school year. Two other schools will also be built and ready for classes in the 1983-1984 school year, keeping pace with the rapid growth of the district. S new 0-'J' als' ..
