Q Under the direction of a new coach, the Socorro Little Theatre Company reorganized to promote dramatic interests in the school. E During the annual Halloween Carnival, the company sponsored the Haunted House, where crowds seemed to enjoy being scared by ghouls and monsters. Later in the year the thespians performed Beauty and the Beast for the ele- mentary schools. The group also undertook the ambitious project of producing Everyman as their entry in UIL competition. Increased participa- tion and enthusiasm from SLTC's membership promoted better per- formances. Q15 Dennis Krowl is fitted in a costume created by Donna jackson. To be accepted into speech team, a student had to show desire to compete in at least one UI speaking event and successfully pa ticipate in at least two tournament The team won trophies and meda in debate, Spanish Reading an Readers Theatre.
