Student Council generates ideas Pres. Marty Tatum Vice. Mary Medina Sec. Rey Chavez Treas Austin Holiday Parli Gina Apodaca efore a meeting. Socorro's Student Council is no doubt one of the most important and determined clubs in the school. The club consists of repre- sentatives of other clubs who bring in news and ideas of future plans. The Student Council is sponsored by Miss Ardell Steg- man, Mrs. Kim Murphy, Ms. Do- lores Duenez and Miss Rosa Al- varez. They've helped the club along it's way through activities such as participation in the Fresh- man Orientation, being in charge of Homecoming's halftime, secret pal teacher Appreciation, Project Smile-an Alcohol awareness cam- paign- having concession stands during a few basketball games, and participation in school pride. The officers are President Isabel Mejia, Vice President Eva Lopes, Secretary Elvia Cano, Trea- surer Patsy Campos, and sponsor Mrs. Marisela Landavazo, who's given the club full support all through the year. They've worked hard in bringing out their heritage and elaborate language.
