Chess Club makes a move Determined students convinced Mr. Craig Small to sponsor a new organization on our campus, the Chess Club. They met each Tues- day during the lunch hour to chal- lenge each other and discuss strat- egy. They also attended tourna- ments at other schools, displaying their prowess on the game board. 115 Kelly and Robert try their luck at the fabulous game of chess. ii Key Club serves Socorro ii sis gi 2 -1 f The Key Club, service organiza- tion of Socorro High, is spon- sored by Mrs. Yvonne North and Mrs.judith Mohrhauser. With the Kiwanis Club as their parent orga- nization, they managed to take part in such activities as the selling of luminarios and dinner book- lets, and visiting the old folks home for Christmas. They also thought of sponsoring the 1981-82 Talent Show.
