Republican Campaigning for Consider what the President means to the U.5. society. Every day he makes decisions that af- fect our daily lives. Whether it concerns foreign policy or our own economy, in some respect it reflects back to each individ- ual. The whole governing body-Congress, Senate, state governors, city mayors-have some degree of influence in our lives. This year, as the U.S. has for the past 200 years, we will be going to the polls to vote for our country's leader for the next four years. The choice the constituents make will affect 4 Opening Democrat the whole society. By carefully observing the process of election now and the outcome in November, we can hopefully avoid the mis- takes that may be made, This will improve our insight when we are able to help in the deci- sion. Today our actions will affect tomorrow's leaders. What knowledge we grasp now is the basis for our opinions in later life. Our experiences will re- flect on how we perform our duties tomorrow. In a few years it will be our decisions that change the world. th-e future Building successful relation- ships now among our peers teaches us cooperation. lt strengthens our ability to act in group situations, preparing us for the responsibility of making our own future. 1.
