His efficient service was acknowledged by the school board when they named Snyder's newest elementary school in his honor. Mr. Stanfield is a well-known and appre- ciated school figure to the student body of Snyder High School. He has proven to be a competent administrator. He has appeared before the student body several times, which has helped the students to know him better. He is always eager to counsel students who need his help. The students of Snyder High School respect and admire Mr. McCollum as an able Superintendent. 13

ancf fb' ' Mr. Fla Joyce, who is in charge of Maintenance, supervises all improvements to the buildings and grounds of the school system. He is alsoin charge of all the bus routes and arrangements for school trips. Mr. G. R. Austin, who this year Celebrated his eightieth birthday, has served for the last nine years as Director of Mail Service. During his years of service, he has become one ofthe mostbeloved persons in the school system and all those who have come to know him regret that he is retiring this year. ,ww .l,,.w-W' Mrs. Sam Spikes, Cafeteria Director, is responsible for the planning of ade- quate meals at a low cost for all the Snyder schools. 15
