2 Si. .sz,..,ff.si..ff 1- Snyder High School, two-thirty, and students dashing home! But let's visit the Scroll room. Here we see a rather large group of busy and noisy Snyderites. It looks and sounds like a madhouse. Whz1t's going on? Buried beneath a pile of notes and papers is jean Ogg, our editor-in-chief, busily arranging the dummy for the June yearbook. I'd like to take your picture today. Can you stay? Shirley Guenther, chairman of the Photography Committee is pressing unwill- ing students into service to hold her lights while another self-conscious Snyderite becomes the center of attraction in the Scroll room. Who took my pencil? I just had it. Where's the dummy? These questions come from Evelyn Clancy's Theme Committee, who are scowl- ing over a pile of papers and chewing their pencils. Wztlter McGovern, Art Editor, and Bill Davis, Humor Editor, are trying to outdo each other in complaining about their respective jobs. james Kearns, Sports Editor, breezes in and out, talking ex- citedly to the adviser one moment, and disappearing the next. Edna Sanders and her committee are busy identifying club pictures, and Evelyn Weed, chairman of the Personnel Committee. surrounded by a group of tired-looking, hard-working students, is cataloging information about us graduates. Pat Cowan, chairman of the Secretarial Committee, is rushing back and forth, from Room 227 to the Sw-nfl room with typing material. Mary Klein, of the Circulation Committee, is instructing her committee to make speeches in the home rooms to encourage purchase of the Scroll. Ruth Tomlinson of the Finance Committee and Nora Krupp, Business Manager. are speaking with Mr. Krieger about a problem concerning the business management of the Scroll. Eunice Berger, of the Advertising Committee, has just come in to report on the success of her committee in securing advertisements. Conversing with Miss McComb is Ethel Wfingard, chairman of the Co-ordina- tion Committee. whose job it is to work with the Student Government and the Serv- ice Guild. Here is a working example of democracy - responsibility evenly divided and accepted. with co-operation the keynote.
