6'a4luztbalL Snowden 37 Elizabeth 47 Playing on the home floor the Snowden Quartet went to defeat The game was a hard contest and found the score deadlocked and go ing into overtime Snowden 21 Bndgeville 38 Getting off to a slow start the Eagles again were defeated by a margin of seventeen points by the Brndgeville Indians Snowden 31 South Fayette 33 Snowden climaxed its season at South Fay ette by going down to defeat The lead changed hands throughout the first half but South Fay ette broke away slowly after the intermission With three minutes to play the Eagles trailing 33 19 they made a terrific comeback falling short by one field goal ,Football Snowden 6 Baldwin 26 The Eagles starting off their first game with a hard loss aqannst Baldwin at South Park The Snowdens bug ll fought de perately to rack up their first win but failed in spite of their courage to turn the tables on the Baldwin team Snowden 6 Elizabeth 26 In their second game the Eagles once again were defeated by Elizabeth at the South Park ova The Snowden team had a very strong line but the backfield was lust a little too small to defeat the powerful Elizabeth team Snowden 6 Trafford 20 The Eagles were taken for their third loss in the series of T949 As before the mighty ll tried with all their faith and hope to hold the Trafford team but failed as they were finally defeated after a long and hard struggle Snowden I4 Rankin 26 The game was played at Rankin and the Eagles were still looking for their first victory The team played a hard and rough game but the Rankin eleven was too great for the Eagles Snowden 'I9 Bethel 36 The Eagles went down in one of the hard est fought games of the season The game was Snowden 26 Bethel 47 Bethel the first league game lumped off to an early lead and kept it throughout the first half but early in the third quarter Snowden began to narrow the margin only to have Bethel break away again in the final quarter Snowden 30 Peters 52 Peters came to Snowden confident in vuc tory ln the first quarter it looked as though the Eagles would not be as easy a victory as was expected but as the game progressed Peters in crea ed their lead Stanko was high scorer for Snowden with 19 points Snowden 34 Bentleyvulle 48 Snowden started off to an early lead during the first quarter and continued holding their own until midway an the third quarter when they broke away Guza was high scorer with T2 points Wilson Guza Honan played at the Bethel field The field was damp and wet in small spots The Snowden s li fought with the greatest fighting spirit even seen before to a winning victory as Snowden went down for their fifth defeat of the season Both teams showed good sportsmanship Snowden 26 Sharpsburg 6 Snowdens first victory took place at the South Park oval Sharpsburg had a small but shlfty back field but the strong Snowden fighting line and backfield showed great skill and power as they snowed under the Sharpsburg team Snowden 6 Bentlyville 14 After a long and hard fight Snowden went down for a loss Snowden Eagles were threat ennng the entire game but lust couldnt make it to paydirt Snowden 33 Brudgevnlle 54 The game was played at the Bethel field which ended the 1949 season for Snowden The game was a high scoring one for the Eagles but The Brudgers proved to be too much Snowden 13 East Bethlehem Our 2nd victory was at East Bethlehem The field was wet and E Bethlehem took the lead at half time Then the Eagles came back to tie it up and finally rallied to come out on top Honan Jerin Rupnik ' , - I S ' but the mighty Bethel team also fighting went if . .
