OUR DIARY Septemloer 7-The lirst day of school. Everybody thrilled over the completion of the louilding and enjoyed the acquaintances of the new teachers and fellow students. the biggest attraction at this time of the year is the Football Seasonu. September l7f-Football Season started with a Uhangu. Qur first game against Bethel, our competitors. Neither team laetter than the otherg the tinal score, 6-6. Septemher 24-Vvarm enough to go swimming. A game played at Robinson. Aside from the heat and perspiration, the boys hrought home the fried loacon at the degree of 26-0. Qctolaer l--lViarlced another victory for Snowden High against Oakdale High. A grand turn out and a score of 23-O. Qctoher 8-Qpen date-lout Snowden made a dale with Penn Township. Both teams were right in there fighting for the victory. Game ended with Snowden victorious. 20-13. Gctolaer II,-Coiumhus Day.-1492. Game with Qalcdale industrial and the score lfl-O in Snowdenis favor. Qctoloer 13-First general assemhly in our new auditorium. A movie on Schralfs Candy plus a sample and then loaclc to our lessons. Qctoher I4-15-Holidays for the pupils. Teachers' institute. Uctoller 22-Uri a water covered field and in continuous rainfall Snowden re- mained in the undefeated class loy Winning the game from Findlay High to the Hclrip-dropu of 12-0. Qctolaer 22-P.lVi.-Freshie Hlriarem Scaremn sponsored loy the Girl Reserves. Plenty oi entertainment, enough to eat, and enough of cider to drinlc, ended the evening oi pleasure for the Freshies. Qctolncr QSMFI-he lirst Skating Party given lay the Seniors. A socialole crowd, plenty ol sicales and fails, with no one hurt, lcept the crowd rolling. Qctoloer 30-Game with Elizabeth at South Park, since their field was iiooded. The lirst game ever scheduled with a Class A team. But that didn't matter since we had a heautiful day, a crowd representing hoth teams, and the spirit Ulf we lose it's . . . Hg we lost so it's 'Better lucic next tirnef, Score 15-14. Novemlaer 5-Another one of those dreary days and a game with Clark High. A grand reception and a grand shellaclcing, too'-21-6. Novemher ll,-Armistice Day. A day celebrated in the memory of those Hwho here gave their lives that that nation might livef, Novemlaer 12-A rainy day, and the day we had our last game for the season for some of them: and the last game for the Ulolue and Whitey, as far as the Senior looys are concerned. Vvith all that in mind the hoys put up a good light. A field goal made hy Shaier won the last game from Snowden 3-0. Novemher 24'-Annual Thanksgiving Raffle. Twelve grand prizes for the luclcy ones.
