As a co-captain puts forth his- strong hand to steady the ship that has lost its captain, so did Ralph L. Warren, our beloved principal, take over our school when death claimed his prede- cessor, Otto H. Boettcher. In memory we shall always cherish his friendship and un- derstanding heart. He is rich in the noble gifts of notiare, but eminently distinguished by the noblest and rarest, just judg- ment and high hearted patriotism. Hence it is with peculiar pleasure and pride, we the class of 1950-51 of Snow Hill School dedicate this third volume of the Memoirs to Ralph L. Warren, our beloved principal and friend.
