TABLE OF CONTENTS Administration Faculty Student Body Student Officers Freshmen Sophomores The cover of the Snowonian makes use of a photograph taken from an artists' rendering of the new library that is soon to undergo construction at Snow College. Three or four years have been spent in the planning of this structure. The new building will house 50,000 volumes and will cost approximately $500,000. The plans have been drawn up with a look toward expansion. The building is to be constructed with a soction of it above tho ground on pillars with the idea that when the time comes glass walls can be added to enclose it and enlarge the library. The library will be fully carpeted and will have a sound system throughout. There will be no bells to interrupt the studier. Each student will have to make himself aware of the time. The open base stacks will be accessible to each student. Therefore, he will be able to do his own selecting of reading material. Construction will begin on the building as soon as possible and the new library should be ready for use by the students of Snow College in the fall of 1967. SCHOOL SONG Oh, flag of white and gold, to the breeze unfold. As we shout all hail! A story sweet is told in each silken fold, Which we love so well! A tale of love and youth and search for truth, In our temple fair. Oh, banner so bright, rich in gold, pure and white, To be like you is our fond prayer. And that is why we love to see you wave above... Our dear Snow College, the fount of truth and knowledge, That's where we spend the golden hours of life. Within the sacred temple, as friends we all assemble And seek to make the hours with beauty rife. And when, in future ages, we look back o'er the pages And ponder o'er our deeds and struggles old, So fondly we'll remember and most of all we'll treasure Our college days so bright with rays of white and gold. 4
