SNOWONIAN Volume XLIII 1964 Published by the Associated Student Body of Snow College Ephraim, Utah you have partic! needs of each pha Snow College, a tribute to your Diamond Anniversary d in an evolving society and met the of its development you have sensed t! anticipate, and creates that each generation must see old ,t living institutions must change, that truths’ through fresh eyes you have lived and grown because people have believed in you and accepted responsibility for your well being you have fulfilled yourmdtal assignment of educating the head, the heart, and the hand The flaming “S” on the hill signaled the start of the student body’s celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the college. The I. K.’s, including Herb Wilson, Bill Civish, and Mr. Milton Armstrong, were responsible for the glorious spectacle of the blazing “S.” In the valley, students paraded with torches, pepped-up around a sparkling bonfire, and presented a cake to Keith Huff in behalf of the football team. A special Homecoming Assembly under the direction of Scott Plummer, Mr. Halbert Jensen, and Jack Thompson featured Dr. Byron Gassman as guest speaker. Homecoming parade honored Margaret Dvreng, Judy Behling and Jean Price, our queen and her attendants. An exciting football game with Dixie filled the afternoon and dancing brought the evening to a close. The two-day festivities were fittingly planned to begin an eventful year. The Student Body sponsored the “Green Grass Follies” at the football field where everyone enjoyed themselves with volleyball, baseball, touch football, and all kinds of mixed games. The hungry students warmed up with hot chocolate and doughnuts afterward. SHALL WE DANCE? We enjoyed innumerable evenings dancing in the various atmospheres provided by clubs and organizations for their dances. —5S- Darwin Woodbury Athletic Director Basketball Coach Baseball Coach Track Coach Robert Stoddard Football Coach Wrestling Coach Earl McKenna Assistant Football Coach ATHLETICS FOOTBALL A mixture of talented freshmen and returning sophomores led the Badgers to one of their best seasons in some years. The 1964 Snow College football team had a 7 won and 4 lost record. Co-captains Brent Bradbury and Jack Quintana inspired the team with their determination and fine play.
