s N 0 W 0 N A N Volume 42 of the SNOWONIAN Published by the ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY OF SNOW COLLEGE Ephraim, Utah Mary Anderson, editor; Cathi Hansen, literary editor Printed and bound by The Press Publishing Company, Provo, Utah, 1963 1963 FOREWORD Since man first drew his story on the walls of his cave, since Ulysses feared the gulfs around his small, flat world would wash him down, man has expanded this earth and discovered new lands. Now moving speedily at will, he has erased distances on his planet and is seeking to know the universe beyond. The impacts of these changes are now thrust upon college students who must develop perspectives of what has been and what may yet be. The proper study of mankind is man. His creams are revelations of his appreciations, skills, and sires. His music, drama, dance, and orts are expres-ns of man as he sees himself and his world, real-cally and idealistically. To understand these ex-sions is to broaden man's life os a social being. On this occasion, the faculty came to our rescue and clarified many of the problems we encountered. We became acquainted with the faculty at the Chuck Wagon Breakfast. They served delicious pancakes, scrambled eggs, and ham. Later in the week, we furthered new friendships with our fellow classmates as we journeyed up Ephraim Canyon to hike, socialize and eat. —55— HOMECOMING Excitement gradually mounted through Homecoming week as we built our floats to the theme Designers of Destiny, and prepared for the parade and game that weekend. The parade, organized by the students, proved enjoyable for both the townspeople and the returning alumni. The height of the Homecoming spirit was reached on the football field as the Snow Badgers defeated Ricks in a thrilling game. The climax of the week was the Homecoming dance decorated to the theme.
