Students were to be found all about the campus — in lines before councilor's chambers, at the book-stalls, and at the treasurer's window to pay fees — poised on steps for a moment of relaxation before a new try at the never-ending lines. A trip to the book store was imperative for each student to establish his credit and to count pennies with Mrs. Stout after purchasing his books. A forecast of a year of good entertainment was seen as Freshmen exhibited their talents during an evening get-together. Many of the Freshmen created their first big splash at Ephraim's modern, indoor swimming pool. Early birds found the Snow College population eating their fill at the annual chuck wagon breakfast, which was cooked and served by members of the faculty prior to registration. Representations of campus life and spirit were abundant in the Homecoming Parade. Scribblers Club took top honors. The peak of excitement was reached as the crowd cheered Snow's victory over C S U at the football game. Enthusiasm was high at the annual Homecoming Program as Sandy AAichaelson was crowned queen. Together with her two attendants — Jeanne Grotegut and Shannon Whitlock — she reigned over the festivities. Jeanne Grotegut. Sandy Michaelson, Shannon Whitlock i Ca iujG'Hi Hike Feast-and-fun was the motto of all participants at Maple Canyon Outing. The day was complete with hiking, volley ball, program, and eats . Frolic in the snow brought forth many sculptures during Snow Carnival Week. The affair was climaxed by the Snow Prom. Sherril Tidwell was crowned Snow Queen by Don Barney, Sophomore class president, and Dean Powell, AMS president. Sandy Jorgensen and Karolyn Draper were _ attendants.
