Senror Log Jxtr 70 strong there entrrfd for the frrst trmc r'r the do mrs of thmrr Al a Mater the xery rnterestrng and rntellrgent class of 46 Nlost of these hope to graduate thrs June Our frrst few ye rrs of school were unexentful except for the usu rl sp rnkrngs and trrps to the corner Whrle rn the thrrd grade we establrshed a post offrce whrch proved to be the offrcral way of sendlng .oxe notes The next few yerrs we spent playrng over the eastern banks of Central School The srxth grade w rs an overwhelmrn success It was durrng thrs year that our class rourneyetl to Seattle to yrsrt the Unlwersrty of Washlngton Campus and other hrstorrcal places We publrshed a school paper under the able drrectron of Wrllram 'Vlaultray who seemed to lrke our company so well that he followed us on over to Junror Hrgh Just thrnk rt last we were grown up lwell almost! but we drdnt take much trme to thrnk about that We were too thrrlled at the thought of begrnnrng our lrfe at Junror Hrgh whrch provej to be rather dull Sports occupred our mrnds to a great extent We played Marshland rn baseball but d dn t haye much luck The grrls organrzed '1 very actrvf ,rrls Club durrng our erghth year Lrnda Salvadalena was chosen as presrdent Marre Wrlson was our student body presrdent Ah remembcr the water prstols that Mr Jarret locked up rn hrs safe It seemed we drdnt put them to the proper use Freshmen green as grass not us We started our freshman year off wrth a bang by electrng Basrl Norton presrdent Merrrfreld Rees vrce presrlent and Dorothy Shrpley secretary treasurer Mrss Carol Mrller was class advrser A number of students Jorned our class at thrs perrod Trme dragged by untrl we were frnally sophomores wrth a lrttle more knowledge than before Thrs year we armed to do somethrng brg We h ghlrghted o rr socral lrfe by holdrng two ree skatmg partres Our greatest accomprrshment was that of walkrng., off wrth frrst prrze rn the bond sellrng campargn We drd well rn sports too Two boys made therr letters Drck Prrce rn baseball and Drck Rodland rn baseball and football Class offrcers were Dean Mrnor presrdent Drck Wrlson vrce presrdent and 'VIax Weed sec retary trc rsurer Ah at last Junrorsl Now were gettrng somewhere We can bash a few freshmen stand up to the senrors and act more mature to show up the other c'asses We started off wrth Dean Mrnor as presrdent agarn Drck Wrlson was vrce presrdent and Lrnda Salvadalena was chosen secretary treasurer As Jumors we were represented rn all frelds of work 'rnd school rctrwrtres the all school play muslc contests grrls sports boys sports Honor Socrety FFA drrll team and Melodrers Krtty Stevens was elected as captarn of the drrll team The frrst major event held was the Sadre Hawkrns dance followed shortly by the Junror Prom Both were very successful Leona De Rrdder was charrman of both events Beverly Waggoner was rn charge of prns and rrngs Well what do you know we are senrors already What a bore school rs gettrng to be Dear me I suppose we ll have to carry on through tnd be a good rnfluence on the younger chrldren For our last stanza we elected Drck Rodland presrdent and between hrm and Mrss Fowler somehow we managed to have a few nrce quret class meetrngs We couldnt decrde between rr senror ball and a senror banquet so we decrded to be drfferent and have both Clarrce Varl was chosen as charrman of the Holly Ball whrch was a hrghly successful event Lrnda Salvadalena planned the banquet whrch proyed to be equally suc cessfu Krtty Steven was agarn chosen 'rs captarn of the drrll team and Beverly Waggener and Rena Andrews drd a frne Job as yell leaders Wayne Jones and Lrnda Salvadalena carrred us through as student body presrdents When the frnal quarter grades were axeraged and Beverly Waggener and Dean 'Vlrnor were chosen as Valedrctorrarr and Salutatorran respect vely rt was tlecrded that no other two students were more deservrng As the year comes to an end some of us wrll be glad to leave others wrll feel as though we are lrvrng our last days We shall always remember Snohomrsh Hrgh as the place where we spent our happleei days and hope that everyone wrll remember the class of 46 and car ry on where they left off Page Nrneteen . l .,.
