But, in spite of the monotony of Boaz, you may find whatever you wanted to gain. You may sleep without food for several nights in New York, with nobody asking you what is wrong. David Price, suggested to his father, Doctor Edwin C. Price, Academic Dean, that the ski course could be a first, a real- ity, and a successful project for SSJC. In the role of president the demands are extensively shadowed by numerous responsibilities. An individual assuming the position must possess the capa- bility which the task requires. Snead State has found such an individual in its president Dr. Virgil McCain. In carrying out his responsibilities, he has displayed leadership admired by faculty and students alike. In the performance of various administrative duties, President McCain has conveyed a concern for the many persons who make up Snead State. The warmth of his personality has made him recognized not only as an outstanding president, but also as a friend. Students and faculty are both aware that President and Mrs. McCain are a vital part of the college and that they have been a guiding factor of the college in its continual growth.
